Description

Module-level power optimization is an effective solution for commercial and large field installations to increase energy output from photovoltaic (PV) systems. Specifically designed to work with SolarEdge inverters, the SolarEdge power optimizer is a module-level power optimizer that can increase energy output by up to 25% compared to traditional string inverters.


The SolarEdge power optimizer has a superior efficiency rate of 99.5% and can reduce balance of system costs by up to 50%. With a longer string length, installers have greater flexibility in designing optimal PV systems. The SolarEdge power optimizer also has a fast installation process with a single bolt and advanced maintenance capabilities with module-level monitoring.


Each power optimizer is equipped with the unique SafeDC™ feature, which automatically reduces modules' DC voltage to a safe level whenever the inverter or grid power is shut down (unless connected to a StorEdge inverter operating in backup mode), ensuring installer and firefighter safety.


The SolarEdge power optimizer is compatible with two PV modules connected in series or in parallel, allowing for a flexible design for various PV system configurations. By optimizing the power output at the module-level, SolarEdge power optimizer can significantly increase energy production, reduce costs and improve safety, making it an ideal solution for commercial and large field installations.
