Dyness S51280 HV Battery — Stackable High-Voltage Module (STACK280)

The Dyness S51280 is a high-capacity, stackable LiFePO4 battery module engineered for the STACK280 high-voltage energy storage system. Each module delivers 14.34kWh at 51.2V nominal as a standalone unit — but its true capability lies in series-stack configurations: connect between 3 and 15 modules via the S51280 BDU200 to build a scalable HV battery system from 153.6V up to 768V and up to 215kWh of total rated capacity.

Designed for commercial-scale and large residential solar storage, the S51280 combines high energy density with an 8,000-cycle lifespan and 200A continuous output — making it one of the most capable HV battery solutions available for South African solar installations.

  • Rated Capacity: 14.34kWh / 280Ah at 51.2V nominal per module, at 95% depth of discharge. LiFePO4 chemistry ensures stable cell performance, high thermal safety, and consistent output across the full operational lifespan of the battery.

200A Continuous Charge/Discharge

  • Continuous Current: Each module supports 200A continuous charge and discharge, providing high power throughput to match the demands of commercial-grade HV inverters and large-scale energy storage systems.

Scalable to 215kWh — Series HV Architecture

  • Scalability: Connect 3 to 15 S51280 modules in series using the Dyness BDU200 to build a high-voltage DC battery bus ranging from 153.6V (3 modules) to 768V (15 modules). A full 15-module system delivers up to 215kWh of total rated capacity — ideal for commercial solar storage, large residences, farms, and energy-intensive applications.

8,000-Cycle Lifespan

  • Cycle Life: Rated for 8,000 charge/discharge cycles under standard test conditions — delivering a long operational life and outstanding value-per-cycle for commercial and large-scale solar installations requiring daily deep cycling.

BDU200 Required for System Operation

  • System Requirement: Each STACK280 system requires one Dyness S51280 BDU200 (Battery Distribution Unit), which serves as the central HV controller, protection hub, and inverter communication interface for all connected modules. The BDU200 is sold separately — confirm your full system design and HV inverter compatibility with a qualified installer before ordering.
