The transparent waterproof mat sits snugly under your vacuum mop and docking station. After your vacuum mop has been used, the brushes underneath the vacuum may still be damp or wet, depending on the type of cleaning you decided to do. The waterproof mat prevents excess liquid on the brushes from soaking underneath your docking station as it is charging.
