The Hatsan MOD 85 in 5.5mm (.22) is a robust, user-friendly break-barrel air rifle built for accuracy and comfort. With a maximum muzzle velocity of 245 m/s (800 fps) and a precision rifled steel barrel, the MOD 85 delivers consistent performance for target shooting, pest control and general field use. Its advanced polymer Montecarlo stock and TRIOPAD butt system keep recoil comfortable and the shooter well-positioned for fast follow-up shots.
Ergonomics and shooter control are strong points — the Montecarlo cheekpiece, raised forearm grip, and grip/forearm grooves combine with a 2-stage Quattro adjustable trigger to produce a crisp, tuneable shooting experience. The rifle also includes Hatsan’s SAS shock absorber system to reduce vibration and a comprehensive safety suite (manual/automatic cocking safety + anti bear-trap) for secure handling.
Fiber-optic sights (TruGlo) come fitted for quick, bright sighting in varied light, while the dovetail/grooved cylinder and scope stop make mounting optics straightforward. At 1125 mm length with a 450 mm barrel, and weighing 3.3 kg, the MOD 85 balances stability with carryability.
