Important - Fuel Pump Installation



  • Always inspect and replace the fuel filter when fitting a new fuel pump. A blocked filter is a common cause of pump failure.

  • Drain and clean the fuel tank before installing a new pump - debris, rust, or contaminated fuel will destroy a new pump quickly.

  • Check supply voltage and earth at the pump connector before installation - low voltage or poor earth causes premature failure.

  • Never run the pump dry during bench-testing.

  • Fuel system work must be done in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources, with the battery disconnected.




Installation / Use / Maintenance Tips



  • Work in a well-ventilated area and depressurise the fuel system before removing the pump.

  • Use a new tank seal and lock ring where supplied - do not reuse old seals.

  • Prime the fuel system by cycling the ignition before cranking, and verify no leaks at the tank and fuel line connections.

  • After installation, confirm correct fuel pressure and road-test to verify normal pump operation.

Centurion D5 - no more official support.

Since the Centurion D5 isn't supported at all anymore by Centurion Systems, I bought this scarce item as a "backup" for the day I need it. (Along with refurbished D5 CP80 controller, from another supplier though.)
Much easier to replace just the gate sensor & harness - or CP80 - than de-wire / re-wire all connections than replacing the entire D5 gate motor!
Arrive perfectly & securely wrapped and courier service was very quick.
