Dyness DL5.0F 5.12 kWh Residential Low-Voltage Lithium Battery



The Dyness DL5.0F is a new 5.12 kWh residential low-voltage lithium battery designed to deliver flexible, scalable energy storage for South African homes. Built on LiFePO₄ chemistry with a 95% depth of discharge and 4.864 kWh of usable energy per unit, the DL5.0F provides dependable loadshedding protection and genuine energy self-sufficiency. Up to 50 units can be connected in parallel, scaling total storage from 5.12 kWh up to 256 kWh as your requirements grow.

  • LiFePO₄ Battery Chemistry — Lithium iron phosphate technology delivers stable, safe performance with a cycle life rated at ≥8,000 cycles, providing reliable backup power and long-term value across years of daily use.


  • Multiple Installation Configurations — The DL5.0F supports wall-mounted, floor-standing, flexible bracket, and rack-mounted configurations, including compatibility with 19-inch standard racks — adapting to any residential installation environment.


  • CTP (Cell to Pack) Design — Cell to Pack construction removes intermediate module layers for a compact, space-saving footprint that makes efficient use of available installation space.


  • Integrated Aerosol Fire Extinguisher — A built-in aerosol fire extinguisher provides a primary safety layer within each unit, designed to respond rapidly to thermal events and eliminate fire risk at the source.


  • 1C Continuous Discharge at 5.12 kW — A maximum discharge rate of 1C (100 A) delivers up to 5.12 kW of continuous output, enough to cover the load demands of a typical South African home through loadshedding.


  • Scalable Parallel Expansion — Up to 50 units can be connected in parallel, growing total storage from 5.12 kWh to 256 kWh as energy needs increase — without replacing the existing installation.


  • Wide Inverter Compatibility — Communicates via CAN/RS485 and works seamlessly with leading inverter brands in South Africa: SMA, Victron Energy, Ingeteam, Solis, GoodWe, Growatt, Solplanet, Luxpower, Deye, and Sungrow, among others.


  • Smart Monitoring via APP & Web — Optional WiFi connectivity enables real-time monitoring and management through the Dyness app and web portal, giving homeowners full visibility of battery state and energy flows from any device.
