Installation Tips




  • Workshop procedure: Camshaft replacement should be carried out by a qualified technician following the manufacturer's workshop manual for correct timing-chain or timing-belt alignment.

  • Pre-lubrication: Apply a high-pressure cam assembly lube to every lobe and journal before installation to prevent dry-start damage.


  • Torque sequence: Tighten camshaft cap bolts in the correct sequence and to the manufacturer's specified torque to avoid journal distortion.

To protect against excessive wear of the camshaft or cam followers it is essential that a high pressure cam lube is used for the initial assembly. Failure to do so voids any warranty.
