Exterior cleaning
• Prepare the bottles: 1 x bottle with undiluted white vinegar and label it clearly. 1 x bottle with plain water and label it clearly.
• Remove all water deposits from the surface with a microfiber cloth or soft sponge.
o NB!!! Do not use any product such as oven cleaner, scouring powders or chlorine-based cleaners, they are harsh, abrasive and can permanently damage the stainless steel.
• Using White Vinegar starting at the top, spray the vinegar liberally on the surface of the ice machines and storage bins exterior.
• Wipe the surface, starting at the top of the ice machine following the grain of stainless steel, use a microfiber cloth, wipe away any water marks, fingerprints, smudges, and grime.
• Rinse off with water, once you're satisfied that all the fingerprints and grime have been removed, go over the surface again with a water-dampened microfiber cloth. Stainless steel is naturally resistant to corrosion, but this step is a precaution to remove the acid in the vinegar so that there's no chance of it interacting with the metal over time. You can either spray water from a bottle or dampen the cloth directly with water.
• Dry thoroughly; The final step is crucial for streak-free stainless steel. Dry the surface completely with a lint-free microfiber cloth. Again, follow the grain and buff gently.
• Tip: To restore the shine to freshly cleaned stainless steel, put a couple of drops of vegetable oil on a soft cloth. Wipe in the direction of the grain and allow the surface to air-dry.
• Pull out the Air filter.
• Rinse under warm soapy water to remove dust from filter.
• Dry the air filter.
• Place the air filter back into the slot of the unit.

Interior cleaning
1. Remove the ice out of the storage bin and freeze or put in ice-well.
2. Take warm clean cloth and clean the interior of the storage bin, with food safe detergent.
3. Make sure the white drain outlet inside the bin is clear and free of any build-up of algae or scale or debris.
4. Rinse the inside of the bin thoroughly with clean water.
5. Make sure the water is draining out of the storage bin.                                                                                                                    NB!!! The unit should come into the Scotsman workshop once a year for a full service.

Warranty / Shelf Life
(The standard warranty as per the CPA is 6 months, we recommend this as a minimum warranty period)

WARRANTY PERIOD:
Scotsman SA warrants their products for the following period from date of sale to the end user as follow.
•Scotsman ice cubers – 12 months on parts and labour
•Scotsman flakers, nuggets / dispensers – 12 months on parts and 6 months labour only.
•Spare parts / components replaced under the warranty Policy are guaranteed for 6 months from date of invoice.
Proof of date of purchase in the form of a TAX invoice is required.

EXTENDED 12 MONTH WARRANTY:
•Is, available on parts only (No labour incl.) if, the unit is serviced by an accredited Supplier / Dealer, before the end of the first 12 months.
•This service charge is for the end user’s account.
•Proof of such a service in the form of an Invoice and proof of payment to an accredited Supplier / Dealer will be required by Scotsman SA to validate the extended warranty claim.
•All other costs, including, but not limited to, are not covered under Warranty and will be charged to the end user.
