Installation / Use / Maintenance Tips



  • Drain coolant to below the heater hose level before disconnecting — expect some spillage at the fittings.

  • Inspect the hose fittings and clamp positions on the old pipe before removal so the new one can be routed identically.

  • Replace worn hose clamps at the same time; do not re-use corroded or stretched spring clamps.

  • Refill with the correct GM-spec coolant, bleed the cooling system fully, and check for leaks once up to operating temperature.

  • After installation, run the heater on hot and confirm warm airflow to confirm correct coolant flow through the heater core.

Centurion D5 - no more official support.

Since the Centurion D5 isn't supported at all anymore by Centurion Systems, I bought this scarce item as a "backup" for the day I need it. (Along with refurbished D5 CP80 controller, from another supplier though.)
Much easier to replace just the gate sensor & harness - or CP80 - than de-wire / re-wire all connections than replacing the entire D5 gate motor!
Arrive perfectly & securely wrapped and courier service was very quick.
