All 14 applications share the Renault K4M 1.6-litre 16-valve engine family with a uniform 79.50 mm bore. The K4M code covers numerous sub-variants (K4M690, K4M700, K4M701, K4M720, K4M760/761, K4M800, K4M838/839, K4M854, K4M858) fitted across multiple Renault generations from 1998 onward. The Nissan NP200 uses the K4M690 variant under the Renault–Nissan Alliance platform.

Installation Tips



  • Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly, removing old gasket material and carbon deposits before fitting new gaskets.

  • Check the cylinder head and block for warpage using a straight edge and feeler gauge; resurface if out of specification.

  • Torque all fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications using a calibrated torque wrench and the correct tightening sequence.

  • Replace head bolts if the engine uses torque-to-yield (TTY) fasteners — these are designed for single use only.

  • Allow silicone sealant (where specified) to cure fully before filling coolant or starting the engine.

Centurion D5 - no more official support.

Since the Centurion D5 isn't supported at all anymore by Centurion Systems, I bought this scarce item as a "backup" for the day I need it. (Along with refurbished D5 CP80 controller, from another supplier though.)
Much easier to replace just the gate sensor & harness - or CP80 - than de-wire / re-wire all connections than replacing the entire D5 gate motor!
Arrive perfectly & securely wrapped and courier service was very quick.
