This is due to the inherent tolerances in the lock bar pin, the hole the pin fits into, and the varying thicknesses of coatings. Factors such as the hard coat, Cerakote, and Type II anodization will naturally vary, which cannot be entirely accounted for during production, leading to the slight lock rock. These tolerances can be better managed when using materials like plastics or G10, as the pin can be pressed into those materials. However, aluminum is more rigid and cannot be pressed in without risking damage to the material.
